Every week we invite an FBC member to put together a weekly menu plan based on recipes from their blog that includes a week’s worth of dinners from Sunday to Saturday. We’ll include a printable shopping list so you can get everything you need and be ready to cook and you’ll get introduced to some new recipes and meet some great new blogs!
We’re kicking off this week with Bridget from Bridget's Green Kitchen. Take it away Bridget:
This is a weekly meal plan for a family on the go. Easy prep meals mean you have time to sit down as a family to enjoy supper and still get your kids to soccer practice on time. Remember kids can help prep too, mixing up salad dressing, chopping vegetables and stringing peas and beans.
Monday: Penne pasta with vodka tomato sauce
Tuesday: Cajun shrimp
Wednesday: Herb marinated chicken kabobs.
- Serve this with Oven-Baked Ratatouille
Thursday: Mediterranean trout with olives and tomatoes
- Serve this over Orzo with Basil and Parmesan
Friday: Caramelized onion pizza
- Serve this with Slivered Kale Salad
Saturday: Salt-brined barbecued chicken with beer barbecue sauce
- Enjoy dinner on the deck and serve this chicken with no-mayo potato salad and French green beans with mustard vinaigrette
Sunday: Homemade fish burgers
- Serve these with Snow Pea and Red Pepper Salad
