The Hedonistic Hops Kickstarter Project
Marie Porter from Celebration Generation has started a Kickstarter for what will be her fifth cookbook - and it's the first of its kind!
Hedonistic Hops is all about using fresh and dried hops as a seasoning in both sweet and savoury foods and beverages. Even those who are not fans of beer will love the unique flavours that various types of hops can bring to their plate - floral, earthy, peppery, citrusy. Cooking with hops is a great way to expand your seasoning horizon!
The Loka Snacks Kickstarter Project
Ayngelina Brogan and Chef Dave Mottershall from Bacon is Magic have launched the Loka Snacks Kickstarter project to create a permanent home for Chef Mottershall's successful Toronto pop-up restaurant, Loka Snacks. The restaurant's concept is driven by Canadian ingredients, a zero waste philosophy and a lot of passion. As of writing this, they had surpassed 60% of their goal, only 4 days in and they have received a stream of public support, most notably from Chef Michael Smith, Chef Antonio Park and Chef Lynn Crawford who did a fun group instagram photo encouraging people to support the project! We know how hard these two have worked to make the pop-up a success... almost entirely through social media and word of mouth.
Good luck to them and to Marie Porter from Celebration Generation!
