Every week we pull together some great Canadian recipes from Canadian food bloggers around the web featuring one main ingredient or dish. This week we’re all about Pear Recipes!
We have long thought that pears are one of Canada's most underrated fruits! They have an exotic look to them but they're grown right here in BC's Okanagan Valley, southern Ontario and parts of Nova Scotia. Along with apples, they're a beautiful fall fruit that can be used in both sweet and savoury dishes, or eaten right off the tree!
Our favourite way to eat them? Sliced thinly and placed between layers of sharp cheddar in a perfectly cooked grilled cheese sandwich! Here's over 25 other deliciously juicy pear recipe ideas!
