It's that time of year again. Yes, it's December already. And the holiday celebratory season is getting into full swing. It's the merriest time of year, after all!
Gift shopping, cookie baking, traveling to Grandmas’ house, and who can forget all the parties — family, friends, office, school — it can all get a bit dizzying.
With trying to remember your entertaining schedule, who has time to think about what wine to serve?
Red and white for Santa Clause, and bubbly for good cheer, here are a few crowd-pleasing Canadian wine picks to help plan the busy holiday entertaining season ahead.
Family Gatherings
Sibling Rivalry Red ($14) — Have a little fun with your family gathering with this cheeky wine label! When hosting a large family gathering it's the perfect pairing for a crowd-pleasing lasagna or tomato based pasta dish.
Angels Gate Pinot Gris ($15) — The complex flavours of this Pinot Gris, beautiful honey and rose aromas, and pale straw colour will show your family just how much you appreciate them this holiday season. With a nice balance of fruit and acidity and a full body, this Ontario Beamsville Bench Pinot Gris is an excellent food companion.
