FBC2014 Venue Announcement

We know you've all anxiously been awaiting the announcement of ticket sales for FBC2014 and wondering just who might be speaking this year!

We're working many months ahead of schedule compared to last year so we're still in the process of securing speakers and brands but, we're excited to finally pull the wraps off and share some news.

FBC2014 Speakers

Our first round of speakers is a biggie!

Matt Armendariz & Adam Pearson

We're thrilled to be bringing author and professional food photographer Matt Armendariz and his partner, food stylist Adam Pearson, to Vancouver for the first time!  Matt and Adam will be sharing the stage on the weekend to talk about the business of food photography.  Matt himself is a well known blogger (Matt Bites) and has  written the book Focus On Food Photography for Bloggers.  He and Adam count Food Network and Target amongst their client list.  We know you're going to learn lots from these two!

Dianne Jacob

We're also so happy to be bringing back a very well received FBC2013 speaker, the always engaging author and food writer Dianne Jacob!  Many of you may not know this but, Dianne will be returning to her hometown for this year's conference and we couldn't be happier.  Dianne literally wrote the book on food writing with Will Write for Food.  Never one to shy away from tough subjects, Dianne will be leading a session on the ethics of food blogging - whether you write restaurant reviews or create recipes this is a hot topic right now.

FBC2014 Pre-Conference Sessions

For the first time, we'll be offering two pre-conference sessions.  These will be very hands on, interactive and intimate sessions with a limit of 20 attendees to each.

Matt & Adam will be leading a hands on food photography and styling workshop on Thursday October 16th.

Dianne will be leading an intensive workshop on the Craft of Food Writing on Friday October 17th.

You can read more about both workshops on our FBC2014 Conference Page, along with all the other conference details.

FBC2014 Ticket Sales

The moment you've all been waiting for!

FBC2014 Tickets will go on sale on Friday, March 7th at 10am Pacific Time/1pm Eastern Time. We're very happy that we've been able to keep ticket prices in line with last year (lower in many cases!) while securing a venue like the prestigious Four Seasons.

One big change this year will be a ticket category for Sponsored Bloggers, PR Professional and Industry/Brand Representatives.  If you are a blogger who hopes to attend with some assistance from a brand not on our official sponsor list, this is the ticket for you!

There will also be Early Bird Pricing for full conference passes and we have managed to lower ticket prices this year for the Early Bird period.  And, because of the 5% tax rate in BC, even if you purchase your ticket at the regular rate or the late registration rate you will still be saving money over 2013!

And best of all... if you purchase your ticket during our Early Bird Period till April 30th, you are entered into a draw to win your ticket!

All the conference information you could possibly need, including detailed ticket info, pre-conference session information and more is on our FBC2014 webpage And, this year, you can purchase your tickets through Eventbrite directly on our website right here.  We know you'll want to bookmark that for March 7th.

We can't wait to share more information with you as it becomes available and we are look forward to seeing you all in Vancouver in October!

The excitement is building! What great speakers to kick off the lineup. It’s going to be hard to choose between the two pre-conference workshops, but I think I know which way I’m leaning. I can’t believe I have to wait another 7-1/2 months to get there. See you in Vancouver, everyone!
