Want to WIN a trip to FBC2013??? It's as simple as making cookies!

Manitoba Canola Growers

Yes,  Manitoba Canola Growers want you to create a cookie recipe for the holidays using Canola oil for a chance to win one of TWO prize packages consisting of a trip to FBC2013

With the holiday season approaching, it’s the perfect time to get passionate about cookies.  We want to hear about your favourite cookie, the recipe and your story behind the cookie that is baked with heart healthy canola oil.

How to enter?

Bake your cookie (Canola oil must be the only fat in the recipe), blog it and leave a link to your blog post in the comments below for one entry. Please mention in your comment where you are located. You must include a mouthwatering photo and a story behind the cookie (memories, family, friends, your passion for baking, cookie exchanges, etc).  Your post must mention and link to both Manitoba Canola Growers (www.blog.canolarecipes.ca) and Food Bloggers of Canada (www.foodbloggersofcanada.com).

For a second entry to the contest, bloggers who have created a post may also tweet about the contest: "#Mycookiesarethebest and @canolagrowers should send me to @foodbloggersCA conference" (You are encouraged to include the link to your post so everyone can see your cookies!).  Then come back here and leave a comment here to let us know you tweeted!

For a third entry to the contest, leave a link to your blog post over on the Be Well Blog.

(you may enter more than one recipe but you must complete each of the above steps - post a comment here, tweet then pots another comment and leave a comment on the Be Well Blog to receive an entry for each)

I’m sharing a recipe that’s been in the family for a while. It was my Grandma’s recipe first; it’s such a fond memory for me because my Grandma was the one that shared with me a love of baking. I got the recipe in a book my Mom compiled for me after my Grandma passed away two years ago this Christmas. I’ve played around with it a bit and made it my own. It was originally a bar recipe and I love the individuality of a cookie which prompted a major rewrite of the original recipe and brought it into the form it’s in today. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
